OVERVIEW
This website is operated by TerraCycle UK Ltd. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to TerraCycle UK Ltd. TerraCycle UK Ltd offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here. You can purchase on our website our Zero Waste Box™ solution, a turnkey solution created by TerraCycle® which includes the storage, shipping and recycling of a particular type of waste that isn't currently recycled through local councils or traditional recycling facilities, or recycled products made out of waste.
By visiting our site and/ or purchasing something from us, either Zero Waste Boxes or other products sold on our website, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”, “Terms & Conditions”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any services. If these Terms of Service are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms of Service.
Any new features or tools which are added to the current store shall also be subject to the Terms of Service. You can review the most current version of the Terms of Service at any time on this page. We reserve the right to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and/or changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the website following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
SECTION 1 - REQUIREMENTS TO SHOP WITH US
To shop with us, you need to:
- be at least 18 years old;
- have a delivery address in the Republic of Ireland. Please note that we don’t operate in Northern Ireland.
- have a credit or debit card that we accept (see bottom of page for details of current payment providers); and
- be authorised to use that credit or debit card (e.g. it is in your name or you have permission to use it)
SECTION 2 - HOW TO PLACE AN ORDER
- For Zero Waste Boxes,
- Select the waste you wish to recycle
- Choose the quantity and size box(es) required
- Click on « Purchase »
- Go to « Cart »
- Check your order
- If you’re finished with your order, go to “Checkout”
- Enter your contact information and shipping address.Tick the box “Keep me up to date on news and exclusive offers” if you wish to receive marketing emails.
- Enter a discount code if applicable
- Click on “Continue to shipping”
- Enter your bank card details and billing address (if different from your shipping address)
- Click on “Pay now”
- For other products,
- Select the items you wish to purchase
- Choose the quantity required
- Click on « Purchase »
- Go to « Cart »
- Check your order
- If you’re finished with your order, go to “Checkout”
- Enter your contact information and shipping address. Tick the box “Keep me up to date on news and exclusive offers” if you wish to receive marketing emails.
- Enter a discount code if applicable
- Click on “Continue to shipping”
- Enter your bank card details and billing address (if different from your shipping address)
- Click on “Pay now”
When you place an order, you should receive an acknowledgement e-mail confirming receipt of your order.
We only accept your order once payment has been approved and we have debited the payment card (and then the contract is made based on these terms).
All orders are subject to availability and confirmation of the order price. If there’s an issue with an order, we’ll get in touch with you.
We reserve the right to refuse any order you place with us. We may, in our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per business, household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by or under the same customer account, the same credit card, and/or orders that use the same billing and/or shipping address. In the event that we make a change to or cancel an order, we may attempt to notify you by contacting the e-mail and/or billing address/phone number provided at the time the order was made. We reserve the right to limit or prohibit orders that, in our sole judgement, appear to be placed by dealers, resellers or distributors.
You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.
All orders are shipped within 48 – 72 business hours unless otherwise communicated to the customer once the order has been received.
SECTION 3 - PRICES AND PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONS
Prices for our products are subject to change without notice.
We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without notice at any time.
We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.
If we discover an error for any goods (price or description) you’ve ordered, we will tell you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order (at the correct price) or cancelling it.
If we can’t get in touch with you, we will treat the order as cancelled. If you cancel and you’ve already paid, we will refund you in full.
SECTION 4 - DELIVERY
Delivery usually takes up to 7 working days once an order is completed.
We use our best efforts to try to meet all delivery times but sometimes there may be delays – e.g. because of postal/carrier delays, logistics or bad weather, holiday season. We will keep you updated as much as we can, and you should be able to track your parcel’s progress.
TerraCycle works with third parties carriers and handlers to ship and check-in your parcels. We use our best efforts to make sure your shipment is delivered effectively and reaches its appropriate destination and checked into TerraCycle's system. However, TerraCycle will not be liable for any lost or stolen parcels unless it results from the act or omission of TerraCycle. If a shipment is lost or stolen, TerraCycle will do its best to find a solution to remedy the situation.
SECTION 5 - RETURNS AND REFUNDS
You shall first send us a refund request in writing to zwb.europe@terracycle.com before proceeding to any returns. We will answer to your request within three working days. Upon our approval, that shall not be unreasonably withheld, you can proceed to return.
As long as an item is still in its original condition, we accept returns subject to the rules below to the following address:

If you return an item requesting a refund within 14 days of receiving it, we’ll give you a full refund by way of the original payment method. The item must be shipped back to TerraCycle UK Ltd at your own cost.
We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the returned item.
We don’t accept returns for unwanted items after the relevant returns period above unless agreed at our sole discretion. If you try to make a return which we did not agree to after the relevant return period, we may have to send it back to you and ask you to cover the delivery costs.
All returned items should be sent in their original condition, and packaging where possible.
You can ask for a full refund for free within 30 days after delivery for any defect or fault on the item at the time of the delivery.
After that period, you can ask for repair or replacement for any defect or fault on the product at the time of the delivery.
This doesn’t affect your statutory rights.
SECTION 6 - FAIR USE
If we notice an unusual pattern of returns activity that we believe are suspicious then we might have to deactivate the account and any associated accounts. If this happens to you and you think we’ve made a mistake, please get in touch with our customer service and we’ll be happy to discuss it with you.
SECTION 7 - PROMOTIONAL CODES
From time to time, we may operate promotions that you can use to reduce the price of specified products.
Each promotion has its own terms, which will be made clear at the time it’s issued to you (e.g. what products, single/multiple use, when it can be used etc).
We will try to avoid it but if a promotion can’t run properly because someone or something is suspicious – e.g. fraud, tampering, technical errors or anything else that is beyond our control that affects the running or fairness of the promotion – we can cancel, modify or suspend the promotion at our sole discretion.
SECTION 8 - COMPANY AND/OR STORE CUSTOMERS
If you are purchasing Zero Waste Boxes on behalf of your company and/or store please be aware that certain third party funded Zero Waste Box recycling programs may require TerraCycle UK Ltd. to share data regarding your company’s and/or store’s participation and usage of the program with the third-party partners funding the program. The data that is shared will be used by these third-party partners for planning, analytical and customer service purposes in order to guarantee the smooth running of the program and to ensure the best user experience for your company. SECTION 9 - YOUR INFORMATION
Our privacy policy sets out how we’ll use your information. If your details change, remember that you need to update your account information so we can continue giving you our best service (you can also update your marketing preferences there).
SECTION 10 - INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY, SOFTWARE AND CONTENT
We own or have permission to use the intellectual property rights in our website and its content. All such rights are reserved.
You’re allowed to store, print and display our website content only for your own personal use. You are not allowed to use any part of the website for commercial purposes unless you have our express permission.
You’re also not allowed to use our logo or any of our brand or trademark (or any marks which are similar in colour) without our express permission.

We are not liable for any harm or damages related to the purchase or use of goods, services, resources, content, or any other transactions made in connection with any third-party websites.

Complaints, claims, concerns, or questions regarding third-party products should be directed to the third-party.
SECTION 13 - USER COMMENTS, FEEDBACK AND OTHER SUBMISSIONS
If, at our request, you send certain specific submissions (for example contest entries) or without a request from us you send creative ideas, suggestions, proposals, plans, or other materials, whether online, by email, by postal mail, or otherwise (collectively, 'comments'), you agree that we may, at any time, without restriction, edit, copy, publish, distribute, translate and otherwise use in any medium any comments that you forward to us. We are and shall be under no obligation (1) to maintain any comments in confidence; (2) to pay compensation for any comments; or (3) to respond to any comments.
We may, but have no obligation to, monitor, edit or remove content that we determine in our sole discretion unlawful, offensive, threatening, libelous, defamatory, pornographic, obscene or otherwise objectionable or violates any party’s intellectual property or these Terms of Service.
You agree that your comments will not violate any right of any third-party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, personality or other personal or proprietary right. You further agree that your comments will not contain libelous or otherwise unlawful, abusive or obscene material, or contain any computer virus or other malware that could in any way affect the operation of the Service or any related website. You may not use a false e-mail address, pretend to be someone other than yourself, or otherwise mislead us or third-parties as to the origin of any comments. You are solely responsible for any comments you make and their accuracy. We take no responsibility and assume no liability for any comments posted by you or any third-party.
SECTION 14 - PROHIBITED USES
You are prohibited to use our service and make purchases for commercial purposes (i.e. resell Zero Waste Boxes™ and other products purchased on our website to other parties).
In addition to other prohibitions as set forth in the Terms of Service, you are prohibited from using the site or its content: (a) for any unlawful purpose; (b) to solicit others to perform or participate in any unlawful acts; (c) to violate any applicable rules, laws, or local ordinances; (d) to infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the intellectual property rights of others; (e) to harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, slander, disparage, intimidate, or discriminate based on gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, national origin, or disability; (f) to submit false or misleading information; (g) to upload or transmit viruses or any other type of malicious code that will or may be used in any way that will affect the functionality or operation of the Service or of any related website, other websites, or the Internet; (h) to collect or track the personal information of others; (i) to spam, phish, pharm, pretext, spider, crawl, or scrape; (j) for any obscene or immoral purpose; or (k) to interfere with or circumvent the security features of the Service or any related website, other websites, or the Internet. We reserve the right to terminate your use of the Service or any related website for violating any of the prohibited uses and for any behaviours, acts or omissions considered by us as disloyal, fraudulent or dishonest and/or violating our terms & conditions as stated here.
SECTION 15 - WARRANTY, DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
We certify that all compliant and recoverable materials collected via our Zero Waste Box™ solution will be recycled in accordance with the applicable laws.
We do not guarantee, represent or warrant that your use of our service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free.
You agree that from time to time we may remove the service for indefinite periods of time or cancel the service at any time, without notice to you.
You expressly agree that your use of, or inability to use, the service is at your sole risk. The service and all products and services delivered to you through the service are (except as expressly stated by us) provided 'as is' and 'as available' for your use, without any representation, warranties or conditions of any kind, either express or implied, including all implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, merchantable quality, fitness for a particular purpose, durability, title, and non-infringement.
In no case shall we, our directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, contractors, interns, suppliers, service providers or licensors be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, special, or consequential damages of any kind, including, without limitation lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, loss of data, replacement costs, or any similar damages, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or otherwise, arising from your use of any of the service or any products procured using the service, or for any other claim related in any way to your use of the service or any product, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of the service or any content (or product) posted, transmitted, or otherwise made available via the service, even if advised of their possibility. Our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
SECTION 16 - INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold us harmless and our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, partners, officers, directors, agents, contractors, licensors, service providers, subcontractors, suppliers, interns and employees, harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third-party due to or arising out of your breach of these Terms of Service or the documents they incorporate by reference, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third-party.
SECTION 17 - SEVERABILITY
In the event that any provision of these Terms of Service is determined to be unlawful, void or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed to be severed from these Terms of Service, such determination shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any other remaining provisions.
SECTION 18 - TERMINATION
The obligations and liabilities of the parties incurred prior to the termination date shall survive the termination of this agreement for all purposes.
SECTION 19 - ENTIRE AGREEMENT
The failure of us to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Service shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
These Terms of Service and any policies or operating rules posted by us on this site or in respect to The Service constitutes the entire agreement and understanding between you and us and govern your use of the Service, superseding any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and us (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of the Terms of Service).
Any ambiguities in the interpretation of these Terms of Service shall not be construed against the drafting party.
SECTION 20 - GOVERNING LAW
These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
